Anesthesiologists
Responsible for all the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of anesthesia, pre-anesthetic General itself and for monitoring postoperative, are an essential part in securing the safety of the procedure and in pain control, providing an immediate postoperative period quite comfortable.
Biopsies
The buccal cavity biopsies performed in the clinic may be total or partial character. They are performed in any kind of injury since characteristics that differ from normal patterns of the tissues of the oral cavity, be they hard tissue (bone) or soft (gums, mucous membranes, salivary glands, etc.
Bone Graft
Although some professionals have the opinion that this is a very invasive surgery for SEVERE defects of maxilla and mandible, bone rehabilitation is the most appropriate due to its cost-effectiveness. Fill the absence in bone resorption of this magnitude with biomaterials ends up being a very costly alternative because of the cost of this type of such bone substitute in Brazil. The biomaterials are ideal for bone reconstructions of light and moderate resorption.
With proper planning and the advice of our multidisciplinary team the patient performs this surgery in a very safe and predictable way. Besides the advantage of being able to provide as material donor your own bone, which is rich in osteoconductive and osteoinductive cells from your own organism (autogenous bone).
Facial Trauma
General Anesthesia
The procedures requiring general anesthesia are performed at the Hospital São João Batista (www.hsjb.com.br), in the city of Criciúma-Santa Catarina.
We have a team of highly trained Anesthesiologists, responsible for providing safe procedures and a personalized postoperative patient care, fully integrated to our multidisciplinary team.

Implants
Emphasizes, so that is always very important a correct diagnosis and planning of clinical cases by the professional, who will lead you through an accurate clinical examination and Imaging tests with advanced technology..
Jugal lipectomy (removing the Ball of Bichat)
Mentoplasty (Chin plastic)
Nutritionists
Responsible to plan and indicate a specific diet for the post, but in a personalized way, according to the characteristics and the tastes of each patient.
Oral and maxillofacial Surgeon
Responsible for DIAGNOSIS, INDICATION, PLANNING, PROPER EXECUTION AND MONITORING POSTOPERATIVE IN THE SHORT, MEDIUM AND LONG TERM patients who will undergo interventions in maxillofacial region.
Orthognathic surgery
Orthognathic surgery, as its name suggests (orthos = correct/gnathus = jaw) is a surgery performed on the middle and lower thirds of the face to fix the defective placement of the bones of this region. Despite being a technically complex surgery, it can be performed with a lot of predictability and security.
A multidisciplinary team composed of anesthesiologists, oral and maxillofacial surgeon, nurse, nutritionist, orthodontist and psychologist gives patients a pre, trans and post-operative, quiet and comfortable.
This type of surgery is indicated for patients who have any type of discrepancy between the maxilla and mandible, either in a mild, moderate or severe form, causing unclamping, i.e. the bite does not fit properly. The patient shows a change in the whole physiology of the stomatognathic system: speech, swallowing, breathing, and chewing. Only the surgery restores normality to these functions.
Another indication is given to patients who have the obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. In these cases, the advance of the maxilla and mandible that provides the orthognathic surgery, has the ability to eliminate the obstruction in the airway later, by the fact that all the muscles of this region moves forward at the same time to the advancement of the bones.
The clinical treatment of obstructive sleep apnea with mandibular advancement plates depends on the use of it. At the moment the patient suspends the use of the plates occurs the return of the episodes of apnea. Therefore, the orthognathic surgery in these cases is the definitive treatment.
Orthopedic Surgeon
Responsible for the patient's preoperative assessment with focus on donor region of bone from the iliac crest. Use this bone in the region of the hips as donor area when the reconstruction of severe resorption of maxilla and mandible severely atrophied.

Rehabilitation prostheses for large extensions with absence of tissues in the maxillofacial region
Patients who have suffered major traumatic injuries, have undergone resection of large or medium-sized tumors with different degrees of malignancy, or that present congenital malformation in the facial maxillary region, find in the clinic a service for the rehabilitation of the missing portions of tissues that are usually present after the occurrence of one of the factors listed above, through the manufacture of large extensions prostheses, planned and custom-made for each client.
The clinical case will be analyzed in detail. Complementary examinations, such as tomography and 3D (three-dimensional) virtual analysis, will be requested for the ideal planning and prosthetic rehabilitation of the clinical case in question.
Skeletal anchorage (bone supports) through several available models, can be used to support the prosthesis, that will rehabilitate all tissues absent extension (bone, muscle, dental, gingival tissue, etc.).
In this way, the patient can be reintegrated into social life with discreet, customized and beautiful prostheses, and most importantly, extremely comfortable for use in primordial daily activities such as chewing, swallowing, breathing and phonation (speech).
